State of the art
The high quality of Utrecht as an environment for establishing businesses for office users was highlighted in a recent publication by Elsevier, in which Papendorp was listed as a top-notch location in The Netherlands. Papendorp is the fastest growing contributor to the Dutch economy and heads the preferred list of office locations with the highest increase in added value per square metre between 2001 and 2004. The offices and industrial locations in Utrecht are highly varied and can therefore offer everyone what they want. And of course all office locations offer a high quality and accessibility. In addition to the supply of attractive existing office locations, Utrecht has two impressive new construction projects in the pipeline. The new industrial park at Leidsche Rijn (including Papendorp) has 720,000 m² office space and 270 hectares of commercial land comping up by 2015. The area surrounding Utrecht Central Station will be developed into THE state of the art office location. Here, offices will be constructed according to the latest architectural advances and knowledge, but which at the same time are perfectly at ease with the historical centre with its canals. |
